The course aims are to enable students to recognize and select the language means needed to achieve communication competence
at the B1 level according to CEFR in Croatian as a foreign language. The student will be able to describe topics from everyday life
(family, school, travel, current events) orally and in writing, reflect on topics and texts from culture and other people's opinions,
participate in conversations about familiar topics and in informal conversations with friends and acquaintances, exchange and verify
information of personal importance.

1. Describe and use similarities and differences between cases and verb forms in the Croatian language.
2. Recognize and explain basic information about Croatia (everyday culture, Croatian regions, Croatian emigrants and their
   communities in the world).
3. Distinguish the characteristics of adjective-pronominal declination in the Croatian language.
4. Describe the characteristics of comparison of adjectives in the Croatian language.
5. Describe and use verb tenses (present, past and future I., future II.), moods (imperative, conditional I.) and verb aspect.
6. Distinguish word classes and their morphological, syntactic and lexical features in the Croatian language.
7. Compare texts with appropriate topics and vocabulary.
8. Write texts, letters, memos on familiar topics and reports in the given form using appropriate vocabulary
9. Express your opinion and plans and describe everyday events.
10. Distinguish and compare the similarities and differences between the culture of Croatian as another language and the culture of the
    mother tongue.
