About Us

The Department of Sociology was established in 1992 and is one of the core disciplines of the Faculty of Croatian Studies. The concept of sociology studies focuses on the application of sociological theories and social science methodology for understanding social processes and phenomena in the specific context of Croatian society and comparatively in a European and global perspective. The study of sociology aims to train highly qualified sociological research personnel with professional research and analytical skills necessary for productive work in the public and private sectors. The sociology program at the bachelor's and master's levels is organized according to current international scientific standards.

Marija Zelić

Dr. sc. Luka Šikić will participate in the 30th Anniversary Conference of the Croatian Society of Economists. The focus of the consultation will be the future of the Croatian economy in the conditions of turbulent geopolitical events and uncertain economic trends in the world. Dr. sc. Luka Šikić, together with co-authors Prof. Josip Tico, Ph.D. and Ph.D. Mislav Šagovac, will present the paper Analysis of structural changes in the sectors of internationally marketable products and services. The main objective of the paper is to analyze the economic structure of the sector of internationally marketable products and services in the Croatian economy.

Hrvatski studiji Sveučilišta u Zagrebu pokrenuti su i ustrojeni 16. studenoga 1992., isprva samo kao dvosemestralni Sveučilišni komparativni studij hrvatske filozofije i društva. Taj je program potom preoblikovan u program redovitog četverogodišnjeg studija.
