She was born in 1980 in Slavonski Brod. She graduated from the Centre for Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb, with majors in history in 2003. From 2003 to 2007 she worked as a history teacher at a secondary school (III grammar school) in Zagreb, where she was also a mentor to the university students attending demonstration/observation classes and to a professional exam trainee. In 2006 she enrolled into Postgraduate study of history at the Centre for Croatian Studies. Since 2007 employed as a research assistant at the Centre for Croatian Studies on project Intercultural origins of pedagogical thought and educational activity of Croats. She acquired additional pedagogical education at the Postgraduate doctoral study of pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, from 2009 to 2011. She developed professionally and scientifically at the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research (Georg–Eckert–Institut für internationale Schulbuchforschung), Braunschweig, Germany (2010 and 2012). She got her doctoral degree in 2012 (The reception of didactical-methodological innovations in Croatian history textbooks used in grammar schools from 2003 to 2008). In 2013 she became a member of the International Advisory Board of the International conference on education and new learning technologies (EDULEARN). She has presented at many scientific conferences in Croatia and abroad and published papers in domestic and international journals. Her research interests include didactics, teaching methodology, and all aspects of textbooks.
